Korea Transportation University's 3D Printing Center announced that it will recruit manufacturing companies to participate in the support project in two areas, including free 3D printing prototyping and electric cycle supporting companies.
When used in the manufacturing process, 3D printing technology has advantages such as reducing manufacturing costs, reducing manufacturing time, and shortening the cycle of new product development, and many companies are effectively using it to develop new products.
The 3D printing prototype production support project, designed to expand the advantages of 3D printing to the manufacturing industry, calls for free production and support with equipment and technology from the 3D printing technology-based manufacturing innovation support center established by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy.
Any manufacturing company nationwide can apply, and 10 of them will be selected to support the production of 3D printing prototypes. Supporting companies must submit 3D modeling drawings (original files or STP, STL files) by March 20, the deadline for receipt.
The 3D printing customized commercialization support project is part of the Ministry of Science and ICT's "3D printing industry development foundation" and includes supporting 3D printing pre-cycle technologies such as design, printmaking, 3D scanning, reverse design, and post-processing to contribute to SMEs' prototype production and new product development.
Subject to support are transportation machinery parts based in Chungbuk, small companies related to medical devices (less than 10 employees), and small and medium-sized companies, and 8 companies are selected to support production services up to 20 million won. Applications are due on March 25th.
